Let’s get this out of the way right now… like RIGHT NOW. I believe that Black Lives Matter, Colin Kaepernick is the greatest civil rights figure of this generation and yes, racism is still alive and well in America. Just putting those out there. If you don’t agree, fine, don’t agree. I don’t hold anything against you — and we can still be friends. I went to an HBCU, and I think they play an important role in America because no place cares for Black collegiate students like the HBCU community does. I care about diversity, justice for all people and the education and well-being of underprivileged groups. I stand with, and for underrepresented people across the country and globe, from Native Americans, Indigenous people, Black, Brown, White, Yellow, LGBTQ people and any group that I might have left out. No one should be treated differently because of the color of their skin, their socioeconomic status or their beliefs; and no one should try to impose their views or belief system on anyone else.
